Describe it.
Find it.

ClipMind saves everything you copy on your Mac. Type what you remember, like “that Stripe error from yesterday”, and it finds the clip, even if the words don’t match.

    Try a description (sample clips):

    The problem

You remember what you copied, just not the words in it

Keyword search needs the exact word

Type “stripe” and you get every clip with “stripe” in it, but not the error message you copied, because the error never mentioned Stripe.

Screenshots have no words to search

Most clipboard managers can show you an image. Very few can find one, so you scroll back through thumbnails until you spot it.

    Spotlight forgets after 7 days

macOS keeps a short clipboard history, then clears it. ClipMind keeps clips as long as you set it to, and pinned clips forever.

    • “the SQL for overdue invoices”
    • “that 502 from the staging logs”
    • “screenshot of their pricing page”
    • “the purple from the brand file”
    • “Sam’s new address”
    • “link to the onboarding mockup”
    • “the error from the webhook yesterday”
    • “whiteboard photo from Tuesday”
    • “the quote about remote work”
    • “the brew command for Ghostty”

    Search by meaning

    Type what you remember

A small AI model on your Mac reads each clip as you copy it. Search with a rough description and ClipMind finds clips that mean the same thing, even with no words in common.

Exact keywords still count. Type the precise word and the exact match comes first.

    • Text, code, links and images in one search

    Screenshots and images

Find a screenshot by what’s in it

ClipMind reads the text in every image you copy and learns what the picture shows. Search “dark mode dashboard” and the screenshot comes back, even though you never typed a word about it.

    Filters

Filter the way you’d say it

Mention a type, an app or a date in your search and ClipMind turns it into a filter. Remove one with a click.

    How it works

Three keys from lost to pasted

    1. ⌥⌘V01

      Open from any app

The search panel floats over the app you’re in without taking focus from it.

    2. Type02

      Describe the clip

Results update as you type. Use ↑ and ↓ to move through them.

    3. ↩03

      It pastes

ClipMind pastes into the app you were in, with the original formatting.

Recording: Picking a result pastes it into the previous app — public/clips/paste.mp4

    Also in the box

    The clipboard basics, done properly

    A Library for everything

Browse every clip in a list or a grid, filtered by kind, date or the app it came from.

Recording: Browsing the Library grid with filters — public/clips/library.mp4

    Pin what you reuse

Pinned clips rank higher in search and never expire.

    Search works from minute one

Keyword search runs while the AI model downloads in the background.

Keep as much as you want

Limit history by days, by number of clips or by disk space. Default is 30 days.

    Leave apps out

Exclude any app. Password managers and concealed text are skipped already.

    Paste with formatting

Rich text comes back as rich text. Links, files and colors paste as themselves.

    Privacy

Your clipboard stays on your Mac

Your clipboard sees API keys, addresses and half-written messages, so ClipMind runs its AI on your Mac. You don’t need an account, and the app collects no analytics.

    • 1Password, Bitwarden, Apple Passwords and Keychain Access are skipped
    • Text an app marks as concealed is never saved
    • Exclude any other app in Settings

    Questions

Does anything I copy leave my Mac?+

No. Capture, text recognition and search all run on your Mac with a local model. ClipMind only goes online to download that model, check your license and look for updates.

    What about passwords?+

Clips from 1Password, Bitwarden, Apple Passwords and Keychain Access are skipped, along with anything an app marks as concealed. You can exclude any other app in Settings.

Which Macs does it run on?+

Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 15.4 or later. The model runs on the GPU through Metal, which is why Intel Macs aren’t supported.

How is this different from Paste, Maccy or Raycast?+

Those search the words in your clips. ClipMind also searches by meaning, so a description finds the clip even when you can’t recall a word of it, and it can find screenshots by what they show.

    How long is history kept?+

30 days by default. You can set a limit by days, by number of clips or by storage size. Pinned clips are kept forever.

    Is it a subscription?+

No. You pay once and get every 1.x update. Try every feature free for 14 days first.

Why is the first download so big?+

The search model downloads separately, 865 MB in all, so it can run offline afterwards. Keyword search works while it downloads.

Stop scrolling for things you already copied

Install ClipMind, copy as usual, and search for the next thing you lose.
